My online opinion piece is now loaded. This deals with illiteracy in a little bit of a different way by addressing the education budget crisis that is currently happening.

Documentary

As a group project, I was involved in creating a documentary about drinking and driving. Although it is a topic that varies greatly from illiteracy, it is still a worthwhile cause worth advocating for.

Literary Review

I have posted my literary review on illiteracy. This report discusses illiteracy rates and what causes illiteracy, such as poverty, learning disabilities, and technology. It also addresses the many forms of literacy and which one is the most important. It also addresses the effects that illiteracy has on the economy and how illiteracy is being combated.

Genre Analysis

I have posted my genre analysis. This analysis analyzes a photograph titled “Stoopidity-ness” from www.ebaumsworld.com and a political cartoon titled “Why Johnny Can’t Read” by Steve Greenberg. The political cartoon was retrieved from www.politicalcartoons.com. The analysis will cover the style of the two genres, the audience members the genres apply to, the purpose of the genres, the structure of the genres, and the specialized language that the genres use.
